Many travelers plan about 90 days and then ask about an extension. According to Auswärtiges Amt, an extension for a further 90 days is generally possible — but the decision rests case by case with Cuban authorities.

GOV.UK also warns that Cuban authorities take immigration breaches seriously and that overstaying can lead to detention. Plan as if the extension is not already approved.
