Cuba eVisa: checklist before you pay

Just before you pay, a calm data check is worth the minute. This page is not a troubleshooting or recovery guide — it is a pre-pay checklist. The full sequence is in the Cuba eVisa guide.

Quick answer

GOV.UK says tourists need a tourist visa or tourist card before travel, and that an approved electronic visa produces a ten-character code linked to the passport. Corrections after payment are not always possible — so confirm passport, purpose and delivery path first.

Pre-pay checklist

Check in order:

  1. Travel document — the passport you will actually use to enter Cuba.
  2. Passport fields — number, names, date of birth, nationality exactly as printed.
  3. Travel purpose — tourism; otherwise check another official route (visa types).
  4. Email — reachable, typo-free, spam folder in mind.
  5. Channel — official portal or assistance: price, support, correction/refund rules on the live page.
  6. Route — no unresolved special questions (for example US-related paths outside this site’s normal customer offer).

  2. Complete D'Viajeros in the allowed window (GOV.UK currently says within 72 hours before entry for the common British case).
